So, I started baking at 8-9 at night, and would finish up around 2 a.m., then try to get some rest, although my youngest was still a baby and would wake up frequently at night while the other two would be up early. “If only you knew what’s it’s like being the first person in the county to start a home based baking business in 2013 with 3 toddlers ages 4, 2 and 9 months at the time a husband that worked full-time to financially support you as you pursue your dream and technically not being allowed to use your teeny-tiny kitchen for production if any kids or pets were popping in and out, meaning all my work had to be done after they went to bed. He was impressed that my position was behind the plate, as catchers are usually really aggressive, and tough, and are willing to get down and dirty – and most of you who know me probably think I don’t exude those qualities. This person who I have known for years and who wants to own his own cafe someday made this comment after finding out that I was a catcher on my softball team both at Yreka High School and Siskiyous College. But is was very popular so maybe this was just a really bad day. There are no tables inside, only on the patio/parking lot. Too bad, it is such a cute little bakery. There were lots of people waiting in a large patio area and it was hard to hear them. For starters they need a better way to call out orders, instead of bringing out a tray, putting it on a table, calling a number and leaving. Very little egg, too many potatoes, but good anyway.ĭon’t know what the problem was but they need to work on it. Best meal of the day! The breakfast burrito was ordered with bacon and came with sausage. Fried egg, ham, avocado, cheese, tomato, house spread and a very flaky, tasty croissant. We ordered the breakfast croissant and breakfast burrito. However, when our order did arrive, one was correct and the other was not. They got several phone in/online orders mixed up and lost a couple. Don’t know what the problem was, except they kept telling other customers they were busy. I noticed then there appeared to be only one cook in the kitchen. I went in once to see about our order and was told they would bring out our order and call our number. always a line to either pick up or order. Not a problem normally except it took almost 45 minutes for our order to arrive. When we got there there was only one person ahead of us. Would have given more stars except for the service after ordering.
